Armed Forces Special Powers Act

I disagree with Govt Of India. Removal of AFSPA does not weaken the ARMY. But removal of AFSPA will surely put a hold to killing of innocent civilians by the ARMY. I am from Bihar,quite close to Manipur and I have seen as well as heard about the outcome of AFSPA . Innocent villagers were taken into Army camps at the stroke of midnight and they never came back. Their families waited for days for some sign. They waited with tears flowing down from their eyes; They knew, their loved ones would never come back again.But hope does not fade away so easily. They waited at the gate of Army camps with questions. But ARMY answered to no one, because AFSPA protects them.
I do support Sharmila's cause too because the ACT does not distinguish between Civilians and terrorists. The constitution of India has provisions which states "to protect even a single innocent living amidst a bunch of thugs". Then why AFSPA ? I fear,this act will one day lead to a very violent protest which will be far beyond Delhi's control. We all want to be called Indian but at the same time also want to be treated as an Indian Citizen. At present Manipur looks like a occupied colony than a state of India. She wants to make Manipur a true state of India. Is she wrong ? I request our honorable defense minister Please to visit northeast to have a true picture. The terrorists kill civilians, the Army kill the civilians as well. It is always the innocent civilians who are tortured and killed and the government remains deaf, dumb and blind. Can you imagine the condition of the people living in those areas ? If you can rationally answer any of my questions I promise not to support Sharmila didi.

I am not anti-Indian. I feel proud to be an Indian but at the same time feel very sorry for my country because it is run by a government which, in spite of having gems like Mr. A.K Antony acts partially. The Government does not understand the simple logic of governance at many stands. AFSPA does not help to build or run a nation. It also does not help to curb revolts. It has only created mass dis-satisfaction. It's a humble request to our Government to remove AFSPA and lead them to the path of development. They will surely leave ARMS and will work for a bright future of the nation. We have lots of expectations from our Government. Please do not let us down. As a responsible citizen I just needed to make this humble request to our honorable Defense Minister who is our "Karta dharta".If I have said anything which should not have to be said or have hurt any one's sentiments then I am extremely sorry for my words. But i request them to pay heed to the words of mine as well as many poor and innocent citizens who are hoping for a better change in the society.
